Happy 2016! Isn’t it fun to begin fresh in the new year? So many possibilities — the year ahead is an unwritten chapter for us to create, and it’s exciting to think about what’s ahead. Of course, we can’t properly turn the page on the year without giving thanks to all of you for making 2015 so amazing. It was certainly one of the most fun, challenging and inspiring years yet! Sharing my love for photography with you, and your trust in me to document these times in your life is a responsibility and a gift.

So, with my humble gratitude, I’m excited to share a few of my favorite portraits lately:

I’m really excited to announce TWO photography workshops coming up this spring at Wolfe’s Camera in Topeka, Kansas! Wouldn’t it be awesome to receive the gift of a photography workshop this holiday season? If you’ve asked for a new DSLR camera for Christmas, these photography workshops are a great opportunity to learn more about your new gear and how it all works. What good is a fancy-schmancy new camera if you don’t know what any of the buttons mean, amiright? 😛

These photography workshops are ALL FUN! We’ll break down photography basics so you can have confidence in capturing daily moments for your family. You’ll learn about composition, using natural light, and building your ShutterStory to create a captivating photograph!

Do you love photographing with their smartphone or point-and-shoot camera? ShutterStory 101 is just for you! Learn the best apps to use for your phone, how to compose a great photograph, and awesome ways to get your photos off your phone and into your hands.

Are you wanting to learn more about your DSLR? Confused by the amount of buttons and menus and find yourself photographing in Auto? Join me for the Capture your ShutterStory class! During this two-evening photography workshop we’ll break down the overwhelming and give you confidence in how to use your camera to its fullest potential. You’ll learn about photographing with manual settings, using light to tell your story, and how to create photographs you’ll love!
