Happy 2016! Isn’t it fun to begin fresh in the new year? So many possibilities — the year ahead is an unwritten chapter for us to create, and it’s exciting to think about what’s ahead. Of course, we can’t properly turn the page on the year without giving thanks to all of you for making 2015 so amazing. It was certainly one of the most fun, challenging and inspiring years yet! Sharing my love for photography with you, and your trust in me to document these times in your life is a responsibility and a gift.
So, with my humble gratitude, I’m excited to share a few of my favorite portraits lately:
I hope the new year brings you health, happiness and abundant joy! Cheers!

Hi friends! See anything new around here? I’ve been working on a fresh new look for the website! The update has been a little like having a newborn of my own — ha! Website redesigns are such a labor of love, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
In the meantime of working on the site, I got to spend some time with Brett and Hope as they celebrated growing their family with Ava’s arrival! She is every bit as sweet and delicate as you can imagine — and she loved to snuggle throughout the whole session with both mom and dad.
Even her sweet sleepy yawns are adorable, right before she drifted off to sleep. Being a newborn is hard. 😉

Backyard gardens are a wonderful place to explore and discover — and when it’s at grandma’s house, it’s even more special! It was so fun to photograph my sweet nieces (along with my own little man) as we enjoyed a late summer evening in the backyard.
I remember playing with my cousins in the backyard at my grandparents’ houses, making up games as we ran circles around the house, or sitting in the tire swing and dreaming a lazy afternoon away. It’s the simple joy of being with family and making fun memories that I hope to share with Parker and my nieces…
